After the success of 2009’s Avatar, Hollywood was determined to make Sam Worthington the next big leading man. Along with Terminator: Salvation, he was put at the forefront of several huge productions– one of which was a remake of the 1981 film Clash of the Titans.
Clash of the Titans definitely raises some questions though. Like why is this called Clash of the Titans when there are zero titans in it? What’s the Kraken doing here in a Greek Mythology story? What was the point of those two guys who show up for a bit and then randomly leave? Why was Perseus so selective about which god gifts to accept? Why didn’t Zeus bring back his family in the end?

I love the original 1981 movie. I had watched it woth my dad when very little as a rerun was being played. Liked Pegasus a lot among other things. I had hunted diwn an bought a DVD after i started working.

Thing that irks me about the credits of this movie is that in the locations part it says "Dinorwic Slate Quarry, Wales , England". There was a petty thought process there, a real Richard move sir!

3:16 Originally Medusa was literally just a monster. The sympathetic backstory was added WAY later.

This remake took all the magic, awe, romance, and mystique of the original. . . .and flushed it down the toilet. The writing is execrable, the plot makes no sense, and the whole meaning of the original was lost. This movie was so bad, the video game tie in was actually better.

Everything is FUNNY!!! But one of the funniest is when the guy doesn't have a logical response, so he quickly says, under his breath, 'Shut up.😂😂😂😂😂

I watched it in 3D. Totally pointless except for the bit where they throw a coin and it looked like it came out of the screen a bit. I was disappointed there was no owl though.

Medusa's tragic backstory was made up by Ovid, who was Roman. Since they're talking about Zeus and not Jupiter, it's Greek mythology, so using that backstory wouldn't make sense. Though I have to ask, did they use Pegasus' backstory of being born out of Medusa's neck-hole after her head was cut off? Along with his twin brother Chrysaor?
