He mentioned the German thing in his Babbel sponsorship in the True Facts episode about Crabs that came out today. Sometimes I forget that it's the same Ze Frank who made all of these videos, because, in a sense, it isn't the exact same Ze Frank.

When I was real little I came here for True Facts. I tried watching Ze's other videos like this and they just didn't click with me. As an adult these videos are just as good if not better.

And being a decade-old, I will dare say they are timeless.

Thank you Ze, just for being awesome.

English is my first language, but I still feel like this. Even after 37 years I feel like other people have some sort of secret rule book I don't know about. Why is it ok for some people to interrupt a conversation, but not others? Why is it wrong to interrupt, but also wrong to stand there silently waiting for them to finish speaking?

A University should give Zefrank an honorary doctorate degree in Life. Or some other non-subject they assume we won't miss the lack of info given to those subjects. Parenthood, Finances, Health. Oh, how about Emotions and their effects on our thinking. Or maybe Meditation, Conflict Resolution, Aging, Parents,Mental health care.
Sorry, daydreaming about what real schools should teach.

Every part of my day is a billion times better because I have a coffee and a shot of Zefrank every day. Ze sees himself in each and every one of Us. I know I am not alone since Zefrank showed me so many other people feel those wack feelings too. I know that our outsides are much smaller than what is on the inside.
    Thank you Zefrank.

Really hit me my man, training to be a counselor right now and It's so hard to be reflective and catch yourself in these moments and listen in on what your emotions are telling you about a particular situation. Are you protecting a client who wants to talk about a painful past event because you yourself have experienced something like that or because you have been protected from intense emotions and you feel that this service should be provided to all human beings ahh idk hopefully this comment helps me remember this topic more clearly.

i love your videos! but i have to confess i really dont always understand every fancy sentences and such, but i always get the point. and sometimes i just like to put one of your videos on and dont really concentrate on it at all, i just like the way you speak. it makes me entertained and not-so-lonely when i feel like i just want to stay home alone for the rest of the day 🙂

I lost 90% of my hearing when I was six years old, so I connect to this on a personal level. The "feeling out of the loop" bit. That feeling still hasn't completely gone away for me, even today.

Alone in a new country, clean start, fresh slate, embarking on adulthood, and your neighbor looks like Zefrank.
Sounds like the beginning of an adventure.

I really hope you have learned by now not to compare Germans with Austrians. It's like comparing Americans with Britains. Or Australians. Or Canadians. 😉

My projector started running like that when I was watching Iron Man 3. Tony started having anxiety attacks, which made the rest of the audience laugh (for some reason), but almost made me cry. I've been having anxiety problems since I was about ten years old, so I just felt like a small, uncomfortable, sad, scared child while the audience was laughing at the kid in the movie worsen his anxiety, but I wanted to help him, and he's just a fictional character.
    I know that's a strange connection.

I had that experience in reverse. My parents moved to Germany when I was six and though it would be great to dump me in German kindergarden. I didn't speak the language, the other german kids were mean to me, and I learned that they gave excess b-day credit-if I told them I would be 7 on my birthday, they put 8 candles on my cake. It was like they counted the year zero.

As an adult, this finally made sense when I became a CS major. But now my coworkers are mostly Indian and Chinese. So no gain.
