I would LOVE to know what decisions led to the drums sounding like they do. Was it the pursuit of a lo-fi aestheitc? A error with tracking?
Dave Fridmann being Dave Fridmann?

(Also, El Pintor is massively underrated and ranks next to at least Antics in Interpol’s discography.)

(Also also, that song was a rendition of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I’m Yours” by the Fearless Flyers: https://vulf.bandcamp.com/album/the-fearless-flyers)

Do you agree? Disagree? Have a suggestion for what I should review? Let me know in the comments!

Yeah, I don't get what they were thinking either.
It doesn't sound retro, it just sounds worse.
Here's me hoping this was just a one time experiment, atlhough Fine Mess isn't giving me that impression.

Some of the songs are still absolute bangers though.
