damn, someone is going to have to say it, but this man lived the life of an untreated drug addict. Sufferring even without a hit mostly is what I saw. I know too well the pains (both physical and emotional) but it is by the Grace of God that I am happy as a sober alcoholic today. The trauma and heartbreak I gave and left in my rampage is his too – even sober for that matter. I knew that the relationship with Jasmina would not last and she was used to suffice his pity. Worse yet, he never (far as I know) apologized to the band members for his f*cked up behavior and how much damage he inflicted upon them as a band and wanting success. Ahhh the life of an addict: everything is your fault and that is why I do what I do. My only hope is that he prayed to his Creator before he left this earth and not ended up "down below" as that idiot Bruce inclined on stage. Morale of the story: people will fight to the end on their own, but to fight the same battle with God, you will have to experience on your own what I mean.

There is a natural tendency for some people to let minor health issues go unattended until they become major health problems, and by then it can be too late. It's always best to be vigilant about your health.

Di'Anno is one of my favorite vocalists. He was supposed to do a US tour in 2024 or last year. What Id give to have gotten to see him and tell him how much he's influenced me. RiP

This documentary truly broke my heart. Paul’s era of Iron Maiden is the reason i play bass. He tried so hard to get his health back. Gone but truly never forgotten.

Nice! I saw Maiden a couple of times in '81 and again in '82 when I was stationed in Germany.
Was fortunate to see Paul before he was replaced.. Di'Anno was the man! And the first two albums were killer. RIP, Paul

Maybe if Paul had quit drinking and smoking he'd have had an easier time of it. Instead we see where his priorities lie, and how that played out. Pathetic human being

I discovered Maiden around 1985 when I saw the Piece of mind cassette at the drug store and got it. I had heard of Iron Maiden, but the only thing I knew about them was "Run to the Hills" and "Number of the beast" I got into them very quickly and loved everything about them. I kept getting other cassette tapes, I went and got "Number of the beast", "Live after death" then " Power Slave" but then I went and got the "Iron Maiden" the album. I had no idea at first what I was even listing to. I had no idea that this was basically an entirely different band. The only actual members of the Iron Maiden that I knew were Dave Murry and Steve Harris. I had a lot of digging to do, and in those days, without the internet, it wasn't easy to just piece together a bands history. But I absolutely fell in love with Di'annos voice and style. I stayed on the first two Maiden albums for a couple of years. That's all I listened to. I even got the Killers back patch for my denim jacket. God I love that band. I've seen them three times in concert. I saw Guns and roses open up for Maiden on the Seventh Son tour, before anyone even knew who GnR even was. What a time to be alive.

I like the first two maiden albums.. But imo, the Bruce era is when things really got real.

I have to agree with the premise that there are simply two Iron Maidens…. Both versions hugely iconic and obviously helped define what heavy metal is today. My two favorite Iron Maiden albums are KILLERS and THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST…. So I have one from each version!

Gogmagog wasnt such a bad band i think he mightve been able to stick it out with them.

September 12, 2009. He played the warehouse in Calgary,, small venue, but awesome. Dude was such a soldier. He played the whole set with a broken knee in cast.
