Iowa Governor SHOCKER: Democrat Leads in Trump Country. Democratic candidate Rob Sand is leading Republican Zach Lahn in multiple Iowa governor polls while openly rejecting campaign help from Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
In this video, we examine Sand’s unconventional campaign strategy and whether distancing himself from national Democratic politics is helping him appeal to Iowa independents and Republicans. The latest polling includes Sand leading Lahn 48% to 44%, an Emerson College poll showing Sand ahead 48% to 43%, and a Fox News poll giving Sand a larger 53% to 44% advantage. Several results remain within their margins of error, but every recent poll featured in this analysis places Sand ahead.
We also examine the prediction market, where Sand is currently favored, and discuss what enthusiasm for his campaign could mean farther down the ballot. Could a strong performance from Sand help Democratic Senate nominee Josh Turek attract additional independent voters in Iowa?

If he don't win, I won't be mad, just saying. They all try to put democrats with Republicans. Republicans f up the country and economy and they quick to say neither party is nothing. Yet democrats don't cut shit, stop people from voting, make deals with our enemies. Go around killing people and locking them up. Biden didn't enrich his family, tey to keep people from voting, f off. Biden gave 16 million jobs, lowest unemployment in history, extended Healthcare and Republicans took it, helped vets, gave us clear water, climate change, vaccines Republicans took it. I don’t like him popping on Biden. BUT I don’t think Kamala is good for the Democrat party. She has been silent while the real leaders in the Democrat party are very loud. She is showing she isn’t a leader and if she runs she is doing it for selfish reason and has zero percent chance of being nominated.

Born and Raised in Iowa and will be voting for Sands, BUT I truly believe that the only reason why he will win or even has a shot is because the Republicans have screwed over this state, so bad and Trump has uniquely hurt Rural Iowa. It's a perfect storm. Something happened to this state between Obama winning his 2nd Term and Trump winning his 1st Term and I believe it has been epic brain drain. My own kid whom is attending college in Iowa is looking to go to Chicago or somewhere else like that after he graduates because we just don't have the opportunities here. I can't blame him. I think about myself and wonder if I had not grown up here and if I was his age would I leave. I probably would.

Iowa has been an "indicator state" in terms of major change trends in past elections. It famously proved it with the Obama campaign. I believe that the people of Iowa wish to proclaim major change again this November. That means that the Democratic candidates for office will do well!

Regarding the Emerson college poll: If the margin of error is 3.7% and the difference between the candidates is 5% then the result IS outside the margin of error. Am I missing something here?!
