I'm Caucasian. But I grew in North Africa, which is where my step father is from. I was raised as a Muslim. I don't know to what extent I am or am not considered white.

it's been a month since i watched this full thing on nebula and the statement "if there's any slur somebody could say to you that might make you have to smack them in the mouth, you're not white" still has me thinking about how being trans (especially these days) interplays with being white. how it diminishes or wipes out completely many of the privileges of white american homogeneity. something about white cis fear of the body as a diverse entity applies to both groups, idk i'm not a scholar
