35 Years Later, Pearl Jam’s Original Drummer Plays “Ten” Again

35 years after Pearl Jam released ‘Ten’, we’re celebrating one of the most important rock albums of all time with the drummer who played on it: Dave Krusen.

As Pearl Jam’s original drummer, Dave Krusen helped define the sound of ‘Ten’ with his powerful, musical, and nuanced drumming. In this special session, Dave performs the entire album from front to back—including “Once,” “Alive,” “Even Flow,” “Jeremy,” and more—while sharing the stories behind the record, his drum parts, his influences, and the gear he used during the sessions. We also dig into some of the album’s outtakes and B-sides, including “Brother” and “Wash.”

Dave breaks down what went into creating the drum parts on ‘Ten’ and explains the musical decisions behind some of Pearl Jam’s most iconic songs. Plus, Matt Cameron joins us to share his perspective on Dave’s drumming and the original Pearl Jam demos.
