You Don’t Have A Right To Clean Water

Everyone who signs up wins something from Bellesa! https://www.shopbboutique.co/vibe/leejamiller-yt13 #bbpartner | Last week, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the US Constitution does not give the people of Jackson, Mississippi any protection from being lied to about contaminated drinking water, even though some of their children got lead poisoning, which can cause life-long complications. This is just part of the system-wide failure that is impacting not only the people of Jackson but people across the US.

I get the lawsuit and Jackson officials withholding information about the water contamination but if any solutions to address the water pollution were effectively killed by the state and federal governments, then what were they realistically supposed to do?
Seems like the problem was upstream and obviously city officials shouldn’t lie but they didn’t have much recourse from what I understand.

Leeja, could you please stop repeating "black and poor"? It's like you are telling middle-class white people "you don't have to worry about it, only poor black people are affected, you're fine".
Everybody has to worry about this.
It's fine to mention once that the most affected city (for now) has a majority black population, it clarifies the motive force that got the ball rolling, but the avalanche cares naught about the color of the first pebble.
Once your rights start going, they keep going until they're gone. No matter who you are – excluding the top 0.1%, which I assure you, is not on this channel.
Too many of these videos have been racist, sexist, and classist, in some order and combination. This needs to stop.
Or, you know, not. I'm sure the top 0.1% loves videos that attack their base. That's how they have a 34% unshakeable base, despite everything that has been going on.

If there are no rights protected by the government, there is no need for one. It's entire reason for being is to represent the people. If it doesn't and the people are on their own, they must remove the government and form one that does.

I grew up in Flint, Michigan. The fact that it only took us 15ish years to replace all the pipes in the majority black, incredibly impoverished city while Jackson STILL doesn't get that luxury makes me fucking livid. Our mayor lied to us, we sued him, we got attention from the Obama administration, we got free bottled water, and after almost two decades of bullshit, we have new pipes. It wasn't fair, it wasn't easy, and it was an explicitly cruel process… and Jackson still doesn't have sage water. And Jackson isn't the only city struggling with this! Aaaaaaa

Anyhow, this whole entire situation is closed by years and years and years of the wrong people, being in charge of systems that at 1 point in time actually ran properly. That tax base is terrible. So they really don't have that much to work with to start with. But then you get all these political people run things. And selling stuff off to corporations, and now we have problems. Biden's infrastructure thing is conceivably going to help in some way. But Trump had to eliminate that. So whenever anybody's looking at this whole entire situation, just remember, we have a mafia crime boss installed by billionaires in the White House. And for all of his sycophants, and everybody that mires his bullshit, well, this is what we get, they're all empowered emboldened to do even more damage and steal from the system as they do it. I think Trump should be prosecuted under the Rico act for running a criminal organization. Moffatt organization, in my opinion and all the people he installed everywhere around the government. The investigated and everything that he ever did. As far as trying to executive order, something into law will all that be repealed, including the big bullshit bill, and then we have a one time. 10% tax on everyone for everything. Does that mean endowments? Foundations, annuities, insurances, every holding gets hit with 10% one year at a level of playing field. If my house is worth 400000 and I make a 100000A year, I have to give what 50000 to the government. Well, if I'm Elon Musk, I gotta give quite a bit a 100 billion. Yeah, a 100 billion because he's got a trillion. And it's breathless, if everything was taxed. Once the right way and then the whole entire tax law be rewritten. No carve outs, no giveaways. I think you have to. You have to qualify for any kind of status, you know, completely redo to tax system that way. Everybody's holdings are going to be producing tax revenue to balance this budget and stop the sinking ship. That's just me

We need geothermal and for the time being – in the areas where geothermal isn't viable – nuclear for baseline power until we can close the gaps with renewables for a truly solar-punk future. I know nuclear seems scary on its face, but climate change is HAPPENING, and we need to do EVERYTHING we can to stop it as FAST as we can.
