Don't take the side of pharmaceutical companies here.Left should have been the first people to talk about pharmaceutical companies corrupting science and their influence getting even dangerous medicines approved.These companies have a long history of manipulating science and are known felons.On a global level it should have been the left that should fought this issue from day one but the right has captured this space and are winning people's trust.A primarily leftist issue has been appropriated by the right.Its class warfare at its finest

The reason why Christian evangelicals dont like vaccines because they believe it marks you, foe the same reason they site peircings as of the devil. growing up with evangelical anti-vax parents they flat out told me that, they DO NOT believe vaccines are dangerous, they DO NOT believe the illnesses their vaccines pervent are natural and are natural selection, they DO NOT believe any of that stuff they'll say whatever they can over the truth which is their magic book says that marking your skin or whatever is sinful and vaccines pucture your skin theirfore theyre evil. I really really want you to do a deep dive on the anti vax moments connection to evangelicals.

Ok this is nitpicky but "life expectancy of 35" is heavily skewed by the high child death rate. If you were 33 you would have well made it past the most dangerous years of life (namely 0-5) in terms of illness. People who reached adulthood had from that point on a pretty normal life expectancy (50-60 or even 70). Sorry but this misconception annoys me SO MUCH 😅

I have asthma. I think that means I can still get vaccinated easily (but tbh I'm a little confused). I have no idea if that applies to my family as well. All I can say is, they'd BETTER be able to get vaccinated because I spend most of my time sharing air with them and I would love for my lungs to continue to work.

This is woman is such a LIAR! vaccine do not save ANY lives! I have never had a flue vaccine and never get the flue. So many people in my community have lost their lives post covid vaccination

Aha. I’m not in the states, but Alberta (in Canada) is doing something similar.
Although you won’t have to go to a doctor to get a prescription, you will have to pay $100 to get the shot (possibly flu too, not fully sure yet with the provincial government).
I’m lucky that myself and my mom have preexisting conditions. But my husband and dad? Don’t get the early time to get the shot (in October, mind you, when when me and my mom can get it) AND have to pay for it.

I live in Connecticut and got my 25-26 COVID booster and flu shot earlier this afternoon. I went through CVS and had to self-attest to one of the high risk health conditions on the website while scheduling my appointment which I truthfully do have (mood disorder). Showed up and had no problems and even got a $10 coupon for regular shopping. I went to a CVS in a town that has several elderly retirement homes and communities on a Saturday afternoon. But every chair in the minute clinic was empty before and after my appointment and there was only one person ahead of me. Idk. Maybe the crowd picked up 5 minutes after I left or I just showed up during a lull but nobody else in this high risk community seemed to be getting vaccinated. It was concerning. And kind of scary.

I got both vaccines Tuesday no problem. Qualified in quite a few ways but they didn’t ask for any proof. Just a slight bruise where they went.
