Just as the Haiku format forces the poet to pare down the subject to barest essentials, so Pepper is able, with a few minimalist strokes of the pen, to reveal the true nature of Johnny Depp with more clarity than any high resolution colour photo.

Hilarious 😆! Spot on! Let me tell you. I have been drawing stick figures since I was 5 and I am just now at the level where I can do what she shown in her work. It’s a specific specialty but it takes having the gift, commitment, practice and years of training! Pushing yourself past what’s possible. Most people think it’s just a couple of lines and a circle but they couldn’t be more wrong. In those lines and circle there is an immense and infinite amount of depth, color and attention to detail that gives it the realism that only a few in this world can do.

Pepper is a specialist in the "Ignorant" tattoo style, all line work, simple designs, no color, and typically, no shading. I know this sketch is a parody, but that's an authentic tattoo style 😅
