This is a Kurdish chant directly associated with the Kurdish liberation movements. Iranians should find a different chant for themselves and stop trying to undermine our existence and struggle. Her name was Jina, and Mahsa is the Persian name forced upon her.

The women of Iran give me hope for the entire world. The nightmare that happened to the women of Iran in the 1970's could easily happen in an Americanized version here, soon. The problem is religious fundamentalism & patriarchy, worldwide. It is just medieval hierarchy & exploitation. A bunch of right wing shit heads want the same thing for women here in America, like a Southern Baptist Ayatollah. Power to the women of Iran!
