this is a fundamental musunderstanding of marxist understanding of the economy. we could still have iphones, but the CEO will not make 10,000 times the amount of the workers. this is chud shit

Note well that Mamdani did NOT set that doofus lady straight on her choice of words, but instead just laughed it off. THAT is a problem with democratic politicians.

Im old. I can do without cellphone, Amazon, computing, etc since I have been without these before. But… the alternate structures such as personalized, in person customer service, brick and mortar stores, real food restaurants and small busuness downtowns must be restored too. I would trade tomorrow.

Study and buy bitcoin y'all. Even if you don't buy it just study it you learn so much about what money actually is. Josh Johnson is so wise im so grateful he's delivering these messages so beautifully

5:39 we have no idea if communes or communism can work because there has never been a moment where the Capitalists haven't used violence against them.

If capitalism was such a superior system it should have been able demonstrate its superiority without doing dirty to competing systems.

Cuba has a vaccine for cancer using socialism/communism even while under maximum sanctions by the imperial west.

communes might work, but not if their neighbors are expansionists… billionaires kill millions to keep control, there's only 3000 of them… the better math would be to eliminate those 3000 and balance things that way

The really rich people can’t actually do much for themselves. We have done well and bought a place on the end of an island that’s private…the houses and property are quite expensive and after joining the board and hearing them talk about fixing our roads or anything in the community…..I realized….they have no skills or ability to do anything…kind of sad. I am a contractor and have built homes out of the woods for 30 years…so I can build an entire house with zero help….i have done 20 of them. These people without helpers….can’t even preform daily tasks. If things went bad they have no chance of navigating life.

"No more Amazon" isn't even true though. The biggest singular problem that has caused so much of todays reality is the steady cutting of the top personal and corporate tax rates for the past 40 years. Pre Regan they were 70-90%/50's% respectively. The cutting of these taxes is what led to good employer health insurance, pension funds, robust benefits packages, steady scheduled pay increases, and much more. Companies didn't used to provide those things because of any now lost virtues, it was because they need to find places to spend the money, or just allow the government to take it. Executives won't get 30mil/yr pay packages if 20-25 mil of it will just go to the government, corporations will cease destructive nickel and dime cost cutting ventures if half or more of the results of that damage will just go to the government. And none of it requires any business to cease existing, in fact its almost a guarantee that they all start operating much better. Because they'll shift focus on spending the generated wealth instead of extracting it, to prevent it from going to the government.

Quoting Thomas Sowell, a hack cheerleader of current economic power structures, at the end of this discussion is wildly ignorant, and dismisses the entire issue of inequality with a blatant hand-waving. Unbelievable.

It won't work because we'll find them wherever they go. Once we take back our government, we need to be utilizing all of our advanced tech to find and destroy them.

Think that's extreme? Why? Why is it extreme to hold accountable those that literally infiltrated and destroyed your government from within?

If you think it's extreme, you are pathetic and weak.
