It’s a truly great film; when we saw it as kids, we recognized ourselves—or a friend—in those characters and loved them. They really found a place in our hearts.
And the soundtrack… it’s superb; it hits the mark perfectly.

I highly recommend reading or listening (if you haven't) to the original novella by Stephen King, it's a bit different, & a little darker.
Besides pie eating, a couple of my favorite scenes were "the Junkyard", and "the Leeches". "Chopper Sick Balls". Great episode. Thanks

A few films make an impact on you and a few stick in your brain forever, Stand by Me is one of them for me. There are the obvious big budget films that everyone knows, but this one, a quiet coming of age film with no massive explosions or other special effects really set up lodgings in my brain. i can't even explain it, it just spoke to me. So I'm looking forward to watching this when I have a bit of time 👍

Also one of my favorite movies. Interestingly, Phoenix, Wheaton, and Feldman have publicly talked about being physically, mentally and/or sexually abused in Hollywood. There can be so much trauma and loss of life for young actors who are soo talented. Such a shame and I think this is being exposed more and more.

Chocolate Chip Mint ice cream is my favorite. Now, cookies and mint cream ruins it. Oreos have no place in ice cream. I hate nuts in ice cream, except for nug butters. They are ok
