Why NASA Spun Astronauts Around, But Doesn’t Any More
The Multi Axis Trainer, or MAT, is an icon of space exploration and astronaut training. But other than spinning round kids at Space Camp: what’s it actually used for?

I bet this machine would work wonders for people with deposits building up in their inner ear. They have to do all these strange maneuvers to try and let the deposits float around and re-distribute. Sometimes it doesn’t work or they are too old and weak to do it properly. This would make it easy. Physicians opinions??

As someone who was inside the MAT at the age of 12, I can confirm that this it is TERRIFYING watching all of your friends be inside of it wondering if it will break.

There was a thing like this at Glastonbury when i was a kid. The best thing was the parents had control of how fast the kid went.

He got so disoriented that he forgot to explain the second part of the premise of the video: why they don't do this anymore.
Or maybe I was so disoriented that I missed it.
