A Warriors movie seems like it would happen more because it's much easier to make a dumb movie about some cats than to make a movie that actually could live up to what Animorphs is.

    Please read them.

Hell yes, Animorphs is so good, definitely earned a series of movies. Have to shout out the Anidorks podcast too, it totally drew me back in after not reading any of the books since I was a kid.

I never actually read any of the books, but I liked to pick them up and flip through the pages on the edge where you can see the person morphing into the animal back when I was in like elementary school.

I only read a few of the books, but even I can tell Animorphs is the greatest work of fiction of all time and it needs an anime right fucking now

As someone who has only seen like 2 episode and never read the books but had several so I could flip through the little transformation on the corner of the page…

I'd guess the idea is enslavement vs sovereignty. The yeerks' power was the evil mirror to them. They could take the form of any lifeform by enslaving their mind as opposed to just touching them and allowing them to stay free while taking their form.

Yes, it's good that there is no movie, and the show DID kind of taint the series. The show was incredibly bad. But yeah, read the books, they're amazing. Read the side books too, ESPECIALLY The Ellimist. It's SO good.

I haven't read Animorphs. I don't know whether the Yeerks won in the end.
But I do know that the ending was supposedly really depressing and controversial, so maybe they did, idk…

You should read the books. You seem interested and they're like maybe a hundred to two-hundred pages a book, not including things like the Megamorphs books. Give it a try. If you don't like the series by the fifth book, then just drop it. It holds up pretty well for a children's book series from the 90s.

So problem they have with it is branding. Animorphs starts out as an adventure of the week sci fi story where teenagers turn into animals to defeat space aliens.

But by the end its a gritty war story where these same teenagers become hard bitten veterans with PTSD who have killed thousands of aliens and many humans and lose half a quarter of their team in casualties to end the war.

Its an incredibly bleak story so who do you market it to. Kids? Adults? Teenagers? Kinda hard to sell that.

I was obsessed and read all of them as a kid. Great series. I don’t remember too much from them now but yeah they went dark as hell at times. This breakdown is definitely bringing it all back 😅

Would be a pretty killer high budget TV series if done right.
