Apple is in many ways an idiot. Put these in an iPad Air or Pro and I'll buy it double quick pronto: 1. The best Apple cameras. 2. The best Apple mics (5 please) with field-changing in software during post. 3. Apple ProRes LOG using the native Camera app. 4. A simpleton's video editor that has no bugs (unlike FCP for iPad which is crawling with insects). 5. Lightroom with Calibration sliders. 6. (Extra) MS Word 365 with VBA macros and full keyboard customization. I want a big-screen camera for obvious reasons: I don't care if I look like a dick shooting video on an 11-13" pad, so long as I can see everything BIG for fine-tuning framing, composition, colors, blah blah blah. In the meantime, GFY, Apple, until you show us some real intelligence.

10:02 i do not feel the same. I hate when every website keeps pushing you to download the app. Downloading an app is a different contractual agreement than visiting your website. When u download an app, you are part of a product without realizing it.

I have always been the other way around. I have always preferred tablets over laptops. With my tablets I have never needed to get virus protection (regardless of what some people may say) and find them much better on the go, with less issues than a laptop. Yes, there are things that work better on a laptop, but I would do such things on a stand alone computer anyway. As a cartoonist I love the Apple Pencil and to be able to do drawings on my iPad rather than have to carry my inks, pens, pencils etc. with me everywhere I go. Just me.

Aren’t you like realising this 4 years too late? All of this was available with m1 iPad Pro aswell…Magic Keyboard and the pencil were available too…so…what’s changed?

What about the general laptop experience and ease of use? Like the finder folder system, it’s annoying to create and save files!! how do you deal with that

Tablet hardware is like 5 years ahead of what iPadOS applications are capable of. It’s just a waste of money! Trust me, I’ve had 5 iPads, including M1-3

I’ve never regretted more to spend that much money on literal garbage. I mean, just look at the iPhone 16, Apple Intelligence my arse… It’s the same shit, just more expensive

I think they copied the pencil pro features from the 1st surface pen that came with the surface tablet. Note taking was great with the surface pen.
