On our farm groundhogs/woodchucks were detrimental to our livestock. The holes they dig they could break a leg on. We had a big boxer that loved taking them out!

If you feed a dog pineapple, it keeps them from eating their own turds. He'd have to convince his cows and goats to eat pineapple for that to work.
