I've noticed. A friend of mines significant others mother died. Instead of coming to the funeral, the sister of the bereaved went to the mother's trailer and robbed it. Smh🙄

I agree, my brother's wife passed in her sleep and the whole family on her side hated my brother because he did everything for her. He took care of her kid's and everything. She died because of over dosing on pain killers, she would eat 20 oxy at a time to have over 60 a day. Of course her family blamed him and yes they tried to fight at the funeral saying he wasn't allowed there but he paid for the whole funeral

Oh yeah my brothers mother in law passed and less than an hour after she was buried his daughter Tracy was going through her grandmothers personal possessions asking her mother if she could take her purses, jewelry and clothes!! Not in the ground 1 hour. My brother and his rotten wife and daughter. I no longer speak to them and happy about it.

My brother convinced my step-mother, ON HER DEATHBED, to sign over property to him that my deceased father had bequeathed to his cousins. So yeah, siblings can suck!

I saw you in KC, MO. It's been a while, but what I remember most is that you stayed and thanked, shook hands, and stayed until the last person in the line left the lobby. I remember, because I was the last person in the line.
Yor trauma is making you famous. I'm happy that it's working for you! ❤❤❤

This discussion brought me to a revelation: This is probably why my mom didn't want an actual, formal funeral. People who never called or came over, people who didn't visit or even check up on her that last year of her life when she was in the hospital would have all come out, pretending like they cared. Meanwhile, the Mexicans and the rednecks would fight amongst themselves before arguing about some petty bullshit with each other. It wouldn't have been a remembrance, or a "celebration of life," it would have been a shitty family reunion. The ones who actually gave a shit called and came to see her before she died.
For years, I have felt bad about not giving her a proper funeral. This just let me let go of that guilt!
Thank you guys! 😊
Unsolicited recommendation: This is the only podcast worth listening to! Don't pay a shrink, listen to Rachel and Titus discuss shitty situations, realize that you're in the same shitty situation sometimes, and let them talk you over and out of it! 😂
