If you have not watched it, the Judith Miller interview is one of his finest.

Jon Stewart is great and passionate about what he does, from Brendon McElroy. That interview must have really got to him.

Reminds me of an argument I had with a buddy about the differences between story and plot. How movie adaptations are not really the same story as books, but they are the same plot.

"Judith Miller (born January 2, 1948)[1] is an American journalist and commentator who is known for writing about Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction (WMD) program both before and after the 2003 invasion, but her writings were later discovered to have been based on fabricated intelligence.[2][3] She worked in the Washington bureau of The New York Times before joining Fox News in 2008." – her Wikipedia intro

I met Rumsfeld once and had a very brief conversation with him in DC when I was in grad school. I despised everything he stood for, but realized 30 seconds after we started talking that he could convince most people that whatever he was saying was true and worth considering, a sort of evil version of the Jedi Mind Trick.
I made an excuse and walked away 2 minutes after that, utterly terrified that someone so evil could also be so mesmerizing.
A few years later, I watched Adam McKay's "Vice" and saw Steve Carell perfectly capture Rumsfeld's ability to cast that evil spell. The scene where a younger Cheney asks Rumsfeld "What do we believe in?" and their final phone conversation where Rumsfeld tells Cheney something along the lines of "You did to me what I would have done to you" still bring flashbacks to my brief encounter with the guy (and nausea).

At least you have the intellectual honesty to call that you least favorite interview, when you gave airtime to that liar and grabbed ankle for American fascism 1.0

Tak działa TV Republika, puszcza wycinek wypowiedzi i chce obarczać kłamstwem Premiera Tuska! Ja pamiętam tą wypowiedź i wiele innych, gdzie Premier mówił o szybkim wypłacaniu pomocy pieniężnej, gdzie może dojść do pojedynczych nieprawidłowości, jednak każde będzie karane! Czemu TV Republika nie puszcza wypowiedzi Nawrockiego i ludzi z PiS o np Zielonym Ładzie, budowie polskich elektrycznych samochodów, otwarciu granicy z Ukrainą, budowie promów, o zamykaniu kopalni i ustawy?! To wszystko była robota PiS! Czemu o tym nie mówią i nie pytają na konferencjach PiS i Nawrockiego!?

I remember looking forward to that interview after seeing Stewart hold other newsmakers to account and coming away disappointed that Rumsfeld ran rings around him. Rumsfeld was what he was, but he was sharp.

Rumsfeld formed a powerful working alliance and shared overlapping interventionist goals with prominent Jewish Supremacist neoconservatives during the George W. Bush administration, particularly regarding the War on Terror and the invasion of Iraq

0:11 I mean, to be fair, there was that time Mike got involved in the messy divorce between a CRT and the concept of spam mail. Though the army of cats didn't help there…
