Why Donald Rumsfeld Was Jon Stewart’s Least Favorite Interview – After The Cut | The Daily Show

I thought that Rumsfeld interview was brilliant!

Jon Stewart is great and passionate about what he does, from Brendon McElroy. That interview must have really got to him.

I met Rumsfeld once and had a very brief conversation with him in DC when I was in grad school. I despised everything he stood for, but realized 30 seconds after we started talking that he could convince most people that whatever he was saying was true and worth considering, a sort of evil version of the Jedi Mind Trick.
I made an excuse and walked away 2 minutes after that, utterly terrified that someone so evil could also be so mesmerizing.
A few years later, I watched Adam McKay's "Vice" and saw Steve Carell perfectly capture Rumsfeld's ability to cast that evil spell. The scene where a younger Cheney asks Rumsfeld "What do we believe in?" and their final phone conversation where Rumsfeld tells Cheney something along the lines of "You did to me what I would have done to you" still bring flashbacks to my brief encounter with the guy (and nausea).

Nie jak za PiS, że sami politycy Prawicy wykorzystywali taką pomoc do wzbogacania siebie, rodziny i znajomych, a po wypłynięciu nieprawidłowości, nikogo nie karali! Premier Tusk mówił nie oczekuje masowego oszustwa, ale pojedyncze, ze względu na szybkość wypłaty i rozproszenia ośrodków od wypłat i kontroli, będą prawdopodobnie pojedyncze nieprawidłowości! Czemu TV Republika nie puszcza wypowiedzi Nawrockiego i ludzi z PiS o np Zielonym Ładzie, budowie polskich elektrycznych samochodów, otwarciu granicy z Ukrainą, budowie promów, o zamykaniu kopalni i ustawy?! To wszystko była robota PiS! Czemu o tym nie mówią i nie pytają na konferencjach PiS i Nawrockiego!?

It genuinely is amazing how many psychopaths and sociopaths Jon Stewart has actually interviewed on his show.

Rumsfeld formed a powerful working alliance and shared overlapping interventionist goals with prominent Jewish Supremacist neoconservatives during the George W. Bush administration, particularly regarding the War on Terror and the invasion of Iraq

It's ironic that Stewart was friends with Steve Carrell and Carell ended up playing Rumsfeld

I love Jon's wit and wisdom ❤
