At first, I never understood Adam Scott. He was everywhere and I didn’t see why. I just assumed he must be a great guy, and that’s why these other people want him around. But after a while, it’s hard to deny his talent. I totally dig him now.

I always get insanely happy seeing any Parks and Rec actors reuniting to discuss the show. I'm currently on yet another rewatch of the series and that ice rink scene- "Get On Your Feet"- is one of the funniest scenes in television history.

The Saint Elmo's fire, Back to the Future, mentioned brought back memories. I was 21 in 85' and that was a golden age for movies and young actors making it big and starting long, successful careers. Rob is one of those. Damn, he still looks young. Bastard !!

Ben and chris were the missing parts of that show. I honestly dont really like the seasons without them in it. If they didnt show up that show gets cancelled after season 3. Just think a bit on if they didnt show up. Every character is 100% different without their friendship

I'm getting reply notifications from a thread on a different video where lots of people saying the show starts getting good around the time Chris and Ben come on. I loved Parks and red, but as you guys are saying, they hadn't really mastered the show until a couple seasons in.

Parks is my all time favorite comedy show and to me Adam and Rob made the show so much better. The writing got sharper and more funny, actors were more confident in their characters and more importantly they got rid of Mark Brendanawicz 😂. The only show that comes close to capturing the magic of Parks is Abbott Elementary. Great actors, fantastic writing, and characters that go from colleagues to friends in an organic and satisfying way. They also make the mockumentary format work but actually talking and acknowledging the cameras at times. Parks will always have a huge place in my heart for its heart and soul and characters who genuinely care about each other. It’s like pringles, once i start I can’t stop

I have a rough rule of thumb that, especially for comedies, the better the gag reel the better the show, and Parks and Rec has great gag reels. 😄 I think it’s because a good gag reel means the cast is comfortable enough able to enjoy themselves and laugh at their mistakes and production team realizes that’s an important enough aspect of the behind the scenes workings of the show that they spend some extra time actually compiling and editing the gag reel into something entertaining.
Of course there are good shows that I’ve never seen a gag reel for, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a really fun gag reel that didn’t come from an equally fun show.
