I'm honestly all for it. A lot of severs I've worked with in the past who have worked there for years have no idea what they are serving. My mom is a server at Waffle house, she knows whats on that menu, what's in everything, how it's cooked and so on.

I WAS a waffle house cook. I know everything on that menu and how it's cooked. the amount of stupid questions I've heard… Just sayin. You NEED to know what's on that menu. At the very least, you need to ask if they have food allergies and then you talk to the head chef.

At least spend 1 day a month learning what goes in what. Even if you're a line cook or a prep cook.

It's actually not a bad idea. I'm a dishwasher for a restaurant, and although I haven't said it, I really do think all of the servers should know how to perform the duties of the cooks. Not so we can force them back there when we're short staffed, but so that when everyone goes out for a smoke break when I'm swamped with dinner rush dishes, I don't have to spend the next 5 or so minutes waiting on fries and a double patty burger to cook. Or so that they can make their own shift meals. There's like a million different situations where them being able to perform the same duties would genuinely benefit everyone.

I would have loved to spend a shift learning about the food. I’ve always been just thrown to the dogs. I dissociate a lot so it usually takes a bit of time. 😂

Asking the chefs/cooks any food related question is completely okay and should be encouraged (the skit doesn’t diminish this point, the chef is meant to be a bit rough around the edges but he cares enough to teach them through tough love)

I’ve worked in a kitchen for 12 years (as a server and a cook) and have asked dumb questions and have been asked dumb questions. It’s frustrating as hell sometimes, especially when you’ve told them more than once. I usually point to a very easy list to read that we have taped to the freezers in the kitchen that they can have access to if they can’t disturb one of us during busy moments. Even then though, I still don’t care if you have to ask me personally. I’d rather that then someone dying

When I first came across this channel, I thought it was cringe. But honestly, bro is really talented playing all these different characters. And also made me question a couple things a time or two about myself.

I swear the more I watch this the more I forget it's just drew doing all these characters. How he can make them all have different voices and personalities is just. 😘🤌 Chef's kiss.
