As someone who worked at a banquet facility in college, I occasionally filled in as floor manager when needed. if there was one thing that pissed me off the most is when guests would either yell at or grab at my servers to get their attention. I have kicked tables out regardless of what they were there for after gently reminding them that my servers are not to be yelled at or abused

Any customer service job is like a group of siblings. We all talk shit and yell at each other……but the moment you fuck with one of us we will rain lightning and hellfire down on you.
Have more than one friend working as a cook who’s come out after seeing a server in tears and said “Pay your fucking bill and get out RIGHT NOW!”

I spent 25 years in the Restaurant Industry and it’s been another 25 years since I stopped waiting tables and tending bar……And every bit of this still resonates with me! With the exception of when my customer died at my table, you’ve managed to capture almost everything that I went through in those 25 years.
I LOVE this series.
Thanks for bringing back those memories. Believe it or not I really miss waiting tables. I enjoyed my work. Thank you!
