When Harry Met Sally (1989): 15 Weird Facts You Didn’t Know!
#rememberwhen When Harry Met Sally walked into theaters in 1989 and started an argument nobody has settled since: can men and women really just be friends? Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan spent twelve years of screen time refusing to answer it, with Carrie Fisher and Bruno Kirby on the sidelines, Rob Reiner directing, and Nora Ephron writing what turned out to be the blueprint for every rom-com that followed.
And #1 is a premiere-night reaction to the deli scene from someone the cast absolutely was not prepared for.

See, now if they could use real phones in a movie from 1989, when we only had landlines, why can't they do that now in the age of smartphones? Rather than fake a phone call between characters, it seems like it would be easier to just give the actors smartphones and have them call each other.

It's heartbreaking to watch this movie knowing that Carrie Fisher and Bruno Kirby are both gone… Thanks for getting in that taxi.

It’s sad because every time I see a Rob Reiner movie pop up on here I’m reminded of how unfortunate his life came to an end

I remember all my friends had seen When Harry Met Sally and were quoting it constantly. So I knew all the quotes well before ever seeing the movie. I didn’t get to watch it until I was an adult, and finally understood what all the hype was about. It’s a really good movie.
Thanks for this video. Brought back some funny memories for me.
