What Would Dying in the Most Terrifying Things in the Universe be Like?

What If | March 24, 2026

Last year, you loved watching me push the limits of science in the most extreme environments imaginable. In the name of discovery and exploration across every planet in our Solar System, the WHAT IF team is back—and this time, we’re raising the stakes even higher.

Get ready for bigger questions, crazier scenarios, and some of the most hostile places in the Universe. We’re talking supernovas, black holes, and entire galactic clusters reaching temperatures of over 160 million Kevins (that’s a LOT of Kevins). How extreme can things really get? And what would happen if we went there? Let’s find out. 🚀

00:00 Most Terrifying Things That Could Happen
01:32 The Sun
06:39 Black Hole
11:39 Neutron Star
14:44 Galaxy Cluster
18:37 Supernova

Actually we wouldn’t know what it’s like to die anywhere. I know this because the space is just like the earths ocean just way bigger and less percentage found. Like we’ve only found out 5% of oceans things. I suspect what dying in the sun is seeing whiteness and just smell and hear sizzling sounds and you just burning alive and would just be tragic. But nice science! And I’m bored so I’ll tell you a weird fact about something in space.but before that during 3:05, I think that it’s hotter because the hot molecules are mixing with the cold molecules of energy in the particles of space and they move around so ,much friction that’s it gets to the point of it’s hotter than the surface because the solar ring is protecting it sort of and not letting any coldness go through. And for a cool space fact, the big fade is caused by , how the universe is always expanding and like new plants and stars born and is expanding faster than light, 94% of all the visible galaxies and other stars or something are moving away from us faster than their light can reach us, future generations might look up to the sky one day and see an empty isolated sky. And another fact is, gamma-ray bursts are the most powerful explosions in the universe, releasing more energy in one second than our sun will in its entire lifetime. If a burst from a nearby star were to hit earth, it could annihilate the ozone layer like a snap. And a weird fact is, if a human were to live for a year in space, they would have to drink 730 liters of their own recycled sweat and urine because water is very limited. Run out of water and you’re cooked bud. In space, no one can hear you scream, it feels like you’re in a basement all the way underground and you’re banging and screaming at the top of youre lungs but no one can hear you, it’s scary believe me. The Kessler effect is the theory that a single destructive event in low earth orbit could create a cascade where satellites break up into tiny fragments taking out other satellites, breaking up into smaller pieces too, and so on until all that’s left of a satellite is particles. Lastly, there is a hypothetical particle called a strangelet that we might find in cores of neutron stars. If one were to strike earth, or any object in the universe, it could turn that matter into further strangelets creating a chain reaction that would result in the earth being turned into one big strangelet. Now I know you didn’t read this whole thing, and you didn’t have to, but I just wanted to give out some information to people who want to know more about space and what world we live in! And one more thing before I stop this, I’m a sixth grader! And a girl! I think I’m smart 😅 anyways baiii<3 btw I’d really love a pin !! 📌 🥺📌 you dropped this! Can I have it?📌

could you make a similar video of chase falling into every category of black hole from primordial black holes to ultra massive black holes (like TON) oh and quasars. oh oh oh and please please PLEASE do it in detail like how the accrision disk could roast you or atomiz you with the spiriling material traveling near the speed of light, or the effects of radiation, OOOOHHHH getting hit with gamma ray bursts!!!! im nerding out. if you ever maybe do this id be soooo happy.

Glory be to Allah. He creates whatever He wills. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth.

Why does this feel like GROSS SPECULATION!!! We have never been to any of these places except for the Sun. No one knows what would happen as the scientists are making a guess nothing more.
