Insects for Dinner: What We’ll Eat When the World Runs Out of Food | ENDEVR Documentary

Sugar – The Hidden Danger in Our Food: https://youtu.be/CYeKjoI4n_I

In 2050, there will be 9.5 billion people to feed on Earth. This will be a huge challenge for mankind as the lack of arable land and global warming burden our food industry. The solution? Including insects in our diet! Two billion people worldwide already consume insects. Adding this new type of food to Western diets could reduce pollution from our food and farming industries. Several companies have taken the plunge and started this unprecedented style of farming, but inventing a new form of food industry that could feed a large population raises a good number of problems. What species will best suit nutritional needs? How will insects react to intensive farming?

At the other end of the production line, advertisers and marketing specialists also have to demonstrate a certain amount of creativity. How can they make a maggot look tasty? A grasshopper look appetizing? They will need to change the Western vision of insects and get people to put aside hundreds of years of cultural prejudice and disgust. Can we overcome our bias to save the world?

This documentary first aired in 2022.

Rabbits always produce quickly in high numbers, I’m sure frogs will be around, mushrooms have a lot of diff. Varieties of taste if yall like mushrooms better than the bug idea. Chickens produce in high numbers if yall have a few at home and a hen to lay eggs … oh and fish can be raised as well and produce in high numbers. Just sayin

If they don't tell us that it's in our food and they lie how will we even know and if they feel emotions which would be interesting to know then killing them should make us think twice should we try to get them out of the house then because I know when I see a spider crawling on my bed I'm killing it ugh if they have feelings it kinda makes me feel bad in a weird way🕷️😵‍💫🕷️

And I LOVE spiders they're so COOL I have a web guarding my front door it's a garden spider he made webbed tunnel and a triangle web on the outside of the tunnel the tunnel is so cool and then in my backyard I found a orb weaver and these are awesome the colors are BEAUTIFUL and the webs are spectacular NATURE is AWESOME but eating them ugh I'm not into this I'm sorry I'll stick with beans and rice and veggies and fruit thank you🌈🙏🏼🌈

Being the top of the food chain humans are not the most intelligent. We are quickly destroying the only home we have, planet earth and are eating ourselves into extinction.
To think that eating insects will solve our food problems is ridiculous. Do you realise how many creatures above the food chsin are dependent on insects? Reduce the insect numbers in the natural habitat and the food chain above them will also die.

If I am eating at any establishment. And am told that the amazing soup I have just inhaled out of existence was made in part from bugs? Everything that lives with in a 50km radius is not safe. 🙂
