Bret Michaels played one show. By the next morning, his doctors had canceled the rest of his year.
Bret Michaels returned to the stage August 21, 2026 at The Bowl at Sugar Hill in Georgia, his first show since kidney stone surgery. Doctors and paramedics evaluated him immediately afterward, and Michaels Entertainment Group canceled every remaining 2026 tour date, including The Mountain Music Festival in Gatlinburg. No return date has been announced for the Live & Amplified tour.

I’m a Type 1 and a sugar of 39 although you might seem ok this very second in the next minute you’re going to be completely unaware of how to do anything at all, you might forget your own name. I once couldn’t figure out how to get my hand to my mouth to deliver the sugar I needed to stay alive. There is no proving you can handle it, of all people he should know that.
The utter confusion and total inability to communicate or remember the ensuing treatment once you go out even though you may talk or fight someone while being treated is because your brain runs on glucose, so essentially the brain stops functioning.
