Rounding up illegals is 1984? I'm not a fan of it, but saying it's 1984 is 1984.
Any leader or political party from any country probably has its 1984 moments, but North Korea is the best example. Canada and the US aren't even close, no matter the political party.

Interesting that you think current America is 1984 and not America from Covid, where religious gatherings were banned, news and individuals were censored by the government, businesses were shut down for not complying with insane demands, and we were constantly gaslit by the government about where Covid came from, how many people were actually being killed by it and the need for healthy individuals to be medically experimented on with hastily thrown together treatments. Oh and a shadow cabal was running the country instead of the elected president.
