You just reminded me of so many things. The most interesting of which was a documentary i watched that talked at length about the science behind physical attraction. One of the experiments shown had women be given sweaty shirts to sniff and decide which smelled the best, worst, and which they felt would have an attractive wearer. The results, (if i am remembering them correctly) were seemingly completely random. There was only a single shirt that was found statisically relevant, however what was more interesting was the fact that the only women that chose that shirt were the ones in estrus. What this basically found was that when women are in heat they can find certain male pheremones more attractive

as one of the 5 straight women in your audience, i definitely do not like pathetic ugly underdogs. i like dangerous Korean drama male love interests with yandere tendencies and an unshakeable love for me that's better described as complete obsession. this is mostly because i had a manbaby father who hated my mother, hated me, hated my sisters, and preferred to lock himself away to feed his video game addiction at all hours when he wasn't at work because he wanted nothing to do with us. gotta account for the (very common) traumas of women in these calculations, not just traumas of men.

A bit late, but some others call this the “shopping risk theory.” Especially with long term purchases in mind. This mentality is also associated with game shows, will you pick the car, or what’s behind the curtain?
1. Person A goes shopping for a luxury car- more likely to bring status and attention, but will also more likely bring thieves.
2. Person B buys a practical car. Living within their means. Still provides, but will not stand out.
3. Person C buys something g for them- a car with. Style and individuality. Hard to find parts for, but stands out and has charm.
4. Person D buys a cheap vehicle and builds it up. But it takes time and commitment.
So what is shopping risk theory? When people go shopping, they immediately think if they need A, B, Cv, or D. Many women in particular, immediately want one thing, but they also take into consideration of what they get. Even men, go out out of their way sometimes to hunt a good deal. Women will literally search for hours to browse or look for their needs. And often? The best thing you find is hidden or no one else takes. Basically same mentality when it comes to a partner.
Will you be with someone one that will constantly be flirted with? Or the eccentric or emotionally damaged? Just to see what’s underneath?
