Left FB in 1012 because the boomers were sharing hoaxes and not looking beyond headlines. Little did I know they would follow me literally everywhere else I tried going and that believing hoaxes would become normal among everyone. Society is so screwed.

Facebook censorship has gone into a higher gear. I’ve been banned from commenting on instagram for answering truthfully on a political ad asking if I’d donate to a democrat. I said ‘no, not in a million years’. The next response was that I can’t comment for two weeks to ‘protect the community’. Keep in mind, I WAS ASKED IF I’D CONTRIBUTE

I haven't been on the "FB" in forever, okay, maybe 5 years. But the one thing / trend that's driven me nuts is local 'old media's' (TV, town newspaper, etc) web design. Now you might get a few real local stories on the traffic accident from 2 days ago, followed by the bee keeper's new honeybee hive, but then it's an endless scroll of 'tabula' or 'taffooola' or whatever ads. Ads for nothing real or necessary. Most all are un-truths: "See what this woman discovered that will make you look 30 years younger!!" "The secret of yogurt scientists don't want you to know about!" I. Hate. The. Web. Now.

The only reason I keep Facebook is because I have 19 years of photos on there. But, other than that, it's completely useless. Just endless spam from shit I don't want.

Yeah……… I actually had to DELETE my twitter off my phone because of ALL OF THE NOTIFICATIONS I received……..… my Apple Watch battery was dying SO QUICKLY! 😅❤

This is so true. But some of us still stick with it because there is no freaking way we're teaching the rest of the family how to use something else for photos, updates, etc. They've got something of a captive audience for a bit longer. I'm gen X and there's still a bunch of other folk in my age group using it to keep family updated.
