Walmart Just Patented Something — And People Are VERY Concerned

A Homestead Journey | May 10, 2026

Walmart Just Patented Something — And People Are Very Concerned as new AI technology, emotion recognition systems, surveillance tools, and behavioral tracking continue expanding across America. In this video, we break down Walmart’s new AI patent, why so many Americans are uneasy about emotion AI and facial analysis technology, and what this could mean for privacy, shopping, automation, digital surveillance, and the future of retail during a time of inflation, economic uncertainty, and the growing cost of living crisis. More people are starting to question where AI technology is headed next.

Now I understand WHY so many are wearing masks!
Our rights to a literal private life is being violated and exploited 😢 NOT GOOD

So wear a mask, sunglasses and a hat….make them work for it all the dirt bags!

Or better yet find another store to shop in for good

I get almost all my groceries delivered by A—-n. I have P—e and I shop so I have no extra delivery fees. Only certain products are not available sometimes, so I have to go to the store. But it's maybe one time a month. I save a ton on gas, time and effort. I compare their prices with W—–t, and they are comparable or less as a rule. I don't know how they do it, and still pay delivery people and trucks, etc. We don't hear about other stores outfitting themselves with all this surveillance electronics, and I wonder why. Is it only W?

Long lines, empty checkouts, inept cashiers who need a manager's assistance with every other customer, rude customers, and people who act at the register like they've never bought anything before by taking far too long to pay with their cards or checks. Yeah, I drew the line with Walmart years ago. I am absolutley miserable every time I have to stop there for something, and that's why I try very hard to avoid them as much as possible

The Walmart closest to us (50 miles) has started broadcasting a signal that suppresses all other 4G and 5G cellular tower traffic and forces your device to connect to their wifi.
It's a blanket once you are in their parking lot but it begins fighting for dominance once we are 3 miles from the store.
My phone is set to not automatically connect to wifi when I'm out (you should all do that).
I have a Samsung, and I can go into "connections-mobile networks-network operators" and see carrier networks. In town, I see Verizon, AT&T and 2 unnamed carrier signals.
About 1/4 mile from Walmart they disappear.
    They also have "personalized pricing".
That's where they use their facial recognition AI along with their amped up wifi signal to gather data from your socials and your history to determine your socio-economic status.
More affluent people receive better prices as a way to encourage them to keep shopping there.

All of this stuff is connected look it up. During his first term (2017-2021), President Donald Trump signed legislation in April 2017 that officially repealed broadband privacy protections enacted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) at the end of the Obama administration. This action permitted internet service providers (ISPs) to track and sell customer browsing history and other personal data without requiring explicit consent.

To all: One person here said he does not have the wmt app and wont have it. Hum. I caught my phone 3 times installing the walmart and amazon app after updates. Run a scan and it says close to 150 apps scanned and i do not show this many in settings.

Looks like a person can be arrested BEFORE committing an act of shop lifting just based on emotions. Of course maybe the person wasn't going to commit the act in the first place but is still arrested.

Do they really need something to let them know we are frustrated? Isn’t that already known? Who is ever happy in Walmart? Over priced cheap stuff, it’s hot, employees are rude or in your way, terrible rude customers, check out lines too long, unsafe conditions in the store and parking lot ,Treated like a criminal as you leave. It’s a terrible experience. Now it’s time to wear masks sunglasses and a hat. Total over reach.

I try to avoid big stores more and more. I buy 90% of my meat from local farms along with milk yogurt and kefir. I do buy somethings from the grocery store and Walmart wish I didnt have too.

I haven't shopped at Walmart since around 2019. Except 1 time because CVS didn't have my meds in stock. Other than that, I stopped when I had some produce go bad in a few days, and tomatoes had zero taste. When they started using flock, I was able to confirm not using them!! And now this…nope..never going back. It's easier where I live to go else where any way!!
