Waaswaaganing Indian Bowl – January 2017 Construction Update

Phase 1 of the Waaswaaganing Indian Bowl Living Arts & Cultural Center began at the end of October 2016, and will be completed by July 1, 2017. Construction includes a 15,000 square foot dance arena, handicap seating, and seating for over 1,000 souls. The new facility will includes a ticket booth entry, Concessions area, and a 14 stall restroom facility. There will be concrete walkways, sidewalks and steps, new lighting, flag poles and other amenities.

Phase II will add additional seating, and a cultural center that may be attached to the George W. Brown, Jr., Ojibwe Museum & Cultural Center. The Indian Bowl Cultural Committee is currently seeking donations. Please contact Georgine Brown (715-493-7426) or Tinker Schuman (715-614-1152) for more information.

This project is being completed by LDF Construction.
