Late to the party, but if you despise the mistreatment of veterans the way I do, please look into the Bonus Army as there are a lot of parallels that can be drawn here.

I came to this video biased, but then I remembered "wait a minute, if any soldier has some sense it most be a veteran". And I wasn't wrong, these people have seen the worst and they still keep their conscience up, mad respect.

I’m a surviving spouse. My husband committed while he was active duty at 29 Palms. Most ppl r not familiar with this unless u experienced this in ur life or family, but I am one of many military widows that were not left the beneficiary and got completely cut off by parents-in-law bc they blamed me and never approved of our marriage in the first place. Ever since he left, I’ve been left fending for myself. I’ve been with him since we were both 16 in high school. Mentally, physically, financially, etc I was just rly dependent on him and then suddenly he was gone 😕. I’m only alive now bc I have a supporting family. He died over 2 years ago now. I have not been able to keep a job since then. I’m having a hard time getting approved for temporary state disability even though my mental issues are debilitating to the point I can’t function on my own and let alone keep a job. I’ve been struggling for so long. It’s been a nightmare being in contact with the VA. Since the layoffs, it’s been near impossible for me to talk to someone there that freaking understands my position and what I need…. Just felt like this is the video to just dump my trauma at. Idk where I was going with this

im a vet, recently diagnosed type 3c diabetes after struggling to get my chronic pancreatitis under control for more than 4 years. thankfully, it seems like my doctor is anticipating the shitstorm.
she has put in scripts for insulin, cgm sensors, lancets, strips, pen needles, and glucagon for the next 6 months.

ill probably just die after that, but we shall see.

It’s so offensive how loudly politicians use the armed forces during political campaigns yet abandon them when soldiers come home. These soldiers should have simple, efficient healthcare. Defense companies make enough to pay that as a tax.

Lady talking about a cavity being filled lol the VA doesn’t cover dental unless you’re 100% disabled or one of a very small number of vets in short term programs like vocational rehabilitation

the polar opposite answers from the guy at 13:32 to the guy right after is insane.
if you want change you have to be ready with open arms to accept the people you didn't agree with COMING to your side.
Humans are spiteful, you have to let bygones be bygones if things will ever get better.

I'm a Navy veteran, former high school teacher, laid-off HHS employee, and now I'm unemployed in 2025. So glad I wasted my life serving my country for it to turn from a Democracy into a Dictatorship. It's hard to feel proud to be an American right now. My heart goes out to all the other Veterans as well. We are stronger united. I deeply respect the sacrifices that you have made for our country.
