    Why didn’t you bring up the Drivers Ed scene? I remember when I worked towards passing my road test, I thought, “Whatever you do, don’t drive like Deborah Foreman in “Valley Girl.”” 😂

    This is still one of my favs❤ I’ve been transferring this movie to different file types since VHS tapes started dying. I have the soundtrack & at least one song from it comes on every day….oh, the algorithm 😂 So glad to hear other people loving this movie too 🎉

    I liked this movie. Deborah Foreman and E J Daily were both just so cute. The soundtracks (there were two) were just loaded with memorable eighties tunes.

    I never realized the bathroom-sex connection, but now it all seems obvious. 😮

    "Like" has nothing to do with Zappa's 'Valley girls" song. I know because I was there, then and earlier. My dad used to complain about people saying "like" all the time since at least the mid-70s, and – going by footage from the 60s – I would say waay earlier than, like, that.
    The Zappa thing is just an urban myth, it's obvious why younger people can believe that but it's pure BS.
    Also, I watched this film the other night, no doubt that's why YT fed me this. It didn't age well – it has the charm of old stuff, seeing Nic Cage young and so on, but it's a lame-ass movie. My standards are low, I like to watch junk, but this was not quality junk.
    In fairness your video may be very entertaining – I didn't watch beyond the silly claim about Zappa's song.
