That was such a relatable ADHD moment:
"I'm pretty sure if you hit yourself in the head with it, it would leave a mark"
Then some part of your brain won't leave you alone until you know for sure…
Yup, turns out it hurts when you hit yourself head with it it hurts 😂

Have you tried using a square-/pulse-wave to trigger the perc using the trigger input? Wondering if that would work, and potentially be a way of achieving oscillating tones out of things? Could perhaps, if possible, be done from the mpc aswell, using audio outputs and some additional amplification between outs and trigger in?

Did you ever think about? to use those polyend percs on your electric drums or a natural drumkit. Its just… possible! so why dont you give it a try… 😀

I've been desperately wanting the Polyend Percs since they first came out, but just can't afford them at the moment. I would need at least 4 of them (though for what I have planned, I actually want 6 of the Silicone striker and 2 of the Wood striker Percs.) Thanks to your video, my desire for these have just been refueled again…

I'd been toying with the idea of building something along this concept for a while now but I don't think I'd be able to nail it like Polyend did here, especially with that solenoid dampening. Glad I caught this video, now I can use my time to hoard PonyBiscuits while I think of something else

Anyway. With all that drawbacks (electrical consumption, unlinear velocity behaviour and latency issues) it's still A VERY powerful and long awaited peace of gear.

Thank you for continuing de-trolling Polyend 🙂 They are really good guys worth organic advertizing.
