There is a large and growing number of Chinese immigrants in Panama. Just about 90% of all of the local grocery stores and liquor stores are all owned by Chinese immigrants. Every year more and more stores and properties in Panama City Panama are being eaten up in the process if you will.

We are condenming putin on ukraine on china on philippines sea yet trump is no different. This guy is typical putin and xi persona. Thinking that he owns the world and the world will bow to him… this will put american in pariah with the rest of the world. Starting with us begging for eggs.. months from now they will be begging for more… southe and central america should band together and ask un for intervention against trump

It’s kind of crazy to think that if the Panamanians weren’t supported by the US, they wouldn’t even have a country let alone a canal. Really makes you question the claim that they were taken advantage of it without needing to do the heavy lifting.

US intention of removing big power from pan America is to prepare for invasion to Greenland and Europe, this will ensure no other power will harass US for their adventure. China couldn't bother though probably knew it, Russian in Cuba will also being monitored by US.

BlackRock only purchased 2 ports; there are 5 main ports in Panama and other ports in nearby countries. So BlackRock does not own the Canal. People need to do their own research and stop reacting to headlines lol

Your analysis of this issue is sub-par. The goal of Trump's administration is and will always be to further enrich the billionaire oligarchy that funds him. So, it's a win for Black Rock

Ot hilarious the same group that groomed the latest Manchurian canadaite not to mention tje deliberate lack of security by the secret service tried to assainante Trump now they are trying to prevent soge from seeing what they get muster up to trumps administration and buy two ports oneother end.of the canal omly to kill countries with tax that are taxing the shit out of the United States inwould rather have a trade war than a real one but blackrock needs to be under much more restraint they control or are controlled bt the ramd corp and nsa wich are all created by the bilderburg group and the real ruling leaders of earth

Missing the fact that the deal was negotiated under Biden is not a mistake. WSM is a pro-Trump channel. Also, Panama retains political and military control of the Canal. Trump is all about "taking the Canal back" or some such sh*t.

This is a lie Trump has No authority over any South American country.usa is not America, it’s an American. Stop the lies. Making things up is a lie. usa is not trust worthy. NATO fought for you. Three buildings, how many Ukraines now? Starve alone.

Idiot! Li Ka Shing of Hong Kong spent USD700million to control the port and now, stupid America pays him USD2.8 Billions and take over. Meanwhile, the whole world continues laughing at America

I dont think this is a coordinated action, Trump is just taking credit, for solving a problem that never existed. Of Course, people talks about Black Rock, but black rock is giving the money to MCI, who is the company that will manage the ports, and Hutchinson has a dispute with the panamenian government, you can check news from Panama, in spanish, and you will get more nuanced information. more interesting is that the contract that allows hutchinson to manage the ports is being sued in panama, because hutchinson did not comply with the contract, so i dont know if MCI/Blackrock, is buying a problem. but, Anyways, the ports deal was already on the way, and trump is again, taking credit. It seems US now have a third world president that responds to all failure that is fault of the last administration and solves problems that dont exists. Banana Republic policy.

"A win for all sides." -Well, no. Trump didn't propose a deal, he threatened. So Panamanians are now quite negative on America. Trump could have gotten this deal AND be more popular in the area without intimidation, but by promising to invest a couple million in local infrastructure. Instead, now every dictator in South America can point to this incident and warn how selfish and evil the Americans are. It's not a good deal.

Black Rock did the deal, not Trump. Considering Trump's ignorance in all things, one should ask: Who put the idea in Trump's head to start putting pressure on the Panamanian government? In other words, who benefits? Black Rock who got a bargain on the purchase, that's who.

He did not secure the deal? He has no stake in BlackRock and the US did not give money to BlackRock for this. It was a deal between 2 private entities and it respects the market price so the Trump deblace did not do much.
