    I'm surprised Todd didn't mention this but the catman make-up for the cover (which yes it is indeed Fogerty himself) was made by John Carl Buechler, the same guy who did the make-up for movies like Re-Animator, Deathstalker, Ghoulies, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 and Friday the 13th Part VII.

    So… he definitely should've known what a zombie looks like unless that was a specific mandate from Fogerty.

    Unironically i have this on vinyl and have never listened to it. Love Fogerty and CCR, my dad just suggested i get it one day when we saw it.
    I was trying to figure out what the cover was supposed to be, its nothing like any of his other albums.

    Dude the soda pop song is literally every song from the 80s ever, i hear 80s music on repeat at work and it all sounds like that lmao, 80s nostalgia is the worst of all.

    25:07 it’s funny how often this happens
    70’s bands tried synth heavy 80’s style music in the mid 80’s; 80’s bands tried outdated grunge and new rap-rock stuff in the 90’s, 90’s bands tried to use electronic/trap beats and autotune in the 2000’s

    Finally someone else brave enough to admit the 80's sucked. And no I didn't live through them but I didn't live through the 60's either and shit looked and sounded way more hype back then than in the 80's. Goofy ass drums and Yamaha bass gtfo

    I've been listening to John Fogerty's discography thanks to this episode, and I can't help thinking what could've happened if he had a little bit more confidence or a tad bit less scrutiny 😅. Even his bad albums have some good tracks and if he kept churning them out like, say, Neil Young, who knows if he could have learnt to live with not always charting and giving us a banger or two per album.
