The Pinball that came with Win 95.
The Dungeons of Umoria. Youngsters talk about Boss characters ~ you don't know how tough and dangerous an enemy can get until you've chased down and killed an Ancient Multi-hued Dragon.
Myst. Myst was different, a collection of puzzles and mysteries and atmosphere. It took you to whole different place to most 'games'. It wasn't an action game, it was about thinking.
Can I mention Duke Nukem? What about Laura's Croft? Everyone should play Womb-Raider at least once. And Quake ~ don't leave out Quake. I can hear the pipe-bombs in the dungeons even now.

All theses game are great. One game that was really good but doesn't get the recognition it deserves is The Legend Of Dragoon.

Of these, I’ve played Resident Evil 4, Final Fantasy VII, Tetris, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario Bros. 3 (via All-Stars), and Ocarina of Time. I have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but I haven’t busted it out yet.

YAKUZA 0
You can disagree on which Yakuza (between Yakuza 0 and Yakuza 6) is the best, but you cannot leave out Yakuza as a series. The later games do not have the same "spirit". Even the guys at RGG openly admitted that the modern games like Like A Dragon series had to be "watered down" in order to please a western audience (a specific sub category of western people who don't actually play videogames but are a vocal minority)

People say you can jump into God of War (2018) as their first entry but if you do… Honestly a lot of the nuance and things Kratos does or says will not hit as hard or not hit at all actually. Moments that would be really powerful will be less so. Like the combat and the story can still carry it. But the finer points will generally be lost. Even some bigger moments won't mean we much. I get that it's polished and.. newer.. but if someone is interested in it I'd still tell them to play the OGs, especially because they're getting remade themselves soon

Good lord, I think they forgot there were amazing games from 1975-2000. You can tell some 20 or early 30 year old wrote this.

I played Pokemon Generation 2 twice. Silver and Crystal on the 3DS VC. I played through Crystal so I could shiny hunt Celebi. I will say, ORAS is definitely the pokemon game everyone needs to play in my opinion as it was such a perfect way to reimagine the Hoenn region. Heart Gold and Soul Silver are much better ways to experience Johto.
Also Mario Odyssey is a must play if you are into Mario or 3D platformers as a whole.

Elden Ring, Celeste, Metroid Prime, Stardew Valley, God of War 2018, Uncharted, Undertale, Red Dead Redemption, The Last of Us, Pokemon Gold & Silver, Ocarina of Time… Well, at least I've played most of these games, but I've just never been interested in these ones here.
