Bang the Drum Slowly didn't make it?! Field of Dreams > Bull Durham, Bull Durham < most of the other movies in this list. Tim Robbins with his bizarre stare and constant mumbling speech pattern, playing the exact same person in all his "praised" films, he sucks.

"For Love of the Game"! Yes, a baseball movie great!. A Perfect Game chronicled through the voice of the greatest announcer ever, Vin Scully, of an aging 40 year old pitcher at the twilight of his career Billy Chapel played by Kevin Costner, juxtaposed by the memory of a long season and the love interest of Chapel, Jane Aubrey played by Kelly Preston.
A baseball movie and a romantic movie in one–a movie for a man and a movie for woman. And of course, one of the best ending quotes when Vin Scully says after the completion of the Perfect Game, "The cathedral that is Yankee Stadium belongs to a Chapel"!
@josterlund2

Bad News Bears is hands down the best.

I will say as a baseball fan my whole life I enjoyed the twilight baseball however tje only thing I could think about was “no way the ball is surviving. Especially with their strength it would be a dust ball after the first hit 😂

Lame….no *61, the babe…..ED….LOL.
@richrusch1616
September 27, 2025 at 6:35 pm
I never watched the #1 so I won't criticize that one. I found the natural as hokey. 61* deserves to be in the top 10.
@jordanborders8648
September 27, 2025 at 6:35 pm
Sandlot at ten seems really low
@mikecampbell4950

Still believe Bang the Drum Slowly is a hidden gem
@JoeyTofMetroMusic
September 27, 2025 at 6:35 pm
I won’t say whether or not I agree with the list or not however there are some B baseball movies worth watching. The soul of the game and a movie called Long gone. They’re both really good watches.

Lightning crashes just before he puts the ball into the spotlights………..best baby the best

September 27, 2025 at 6:35 pm
I know this is heresy, but I think Bull Durham is overrated. It may deserve to be in the top 10, and individual scenes (the conference on the mound above all others) are iconic, but The Sandlot, Field of Dreams, and Major League are all better films overall.
@laurelmacdonald4594
September 27, 2025 at 6:35 pm
when Field of Dreams was #2, I thought #1 had to be amazing. what a joke. No Bull Durham? But we have sparkly vampires? Ok.
@jonblankenship5908
September 27, 2025 at 6:35 pm
I put the field of dreams at number 1 #isthisheavennoitsiowa
