In both Knives Out and Wake Up Dead Man, Rian Johnson uses the music of Larry Norman, a quality rock musician who is has a dedicated following in Christian music circles.

That is not an Ipad – its a samsung TABLET which you can tell by the screensaver, which you show in this clip.
Why do you Americans always think everyone uses your products, when there are better ones out there???

A neat reference I saw in Wake Up Dead Man is when Chief Geraldine says she owes Lieutenant Elliot a fruit basket for giving her Benoit Blanc's number. The moment not only serves as an Easter Egg since Lieutenant Elliot was one of the officers in the first Knives Out film but also explains how Blanc learned about the murder and serves as foreshadowing that the start of the film lied about Father Jud being the one to hire Blanc.

I love the first and the third one. They're exceptionally great and intelligent. But the 2nd one despite a few good moments doesn't seem to be in the same caliber and a bit disappointing especially the ending… also the 2nd one had Dave Bautista which is arguably THE WORST ACTOR AND SCREEN PERSONA in Hollywood right now. I never like to see him in films. In fact, I always try to avoid films featuring him, because he is unbearable to see on screen

This list is a friendly reminder that Rian Johnson is a brilliant creator… and he was unceremoniously booted from the Star Wars universe after giving us easily the BEST film of any of the trilogies because the simplistic rubes that make up the majority of the fanbase just wanted to see the same old story told over and over again.

"Playing life like a game without consequence, until you can't tell the difference between a stage prop and real knife." And then at the end of the movie, Ransom tries to kill Marta with a prop knife he thinks is real. Amazing writing.

To me, the most surprising part of Dead Man was the Tom Waits song playing at the end. No, I am not calling the movie predictable. Certain elements you were supposed to see coming. But still, Tom Waits is famously very protective of his work, and almost never agrees to its use in movies or commercials.

I've seen all 3, and by far, my favorite is Glass Onion. I know it's goofy, but it reminds me of Clue. Dead Man was a little too slow and long winded for me. And the original was fantastic as well. But Glass Onion is just…fun.

One of my favorite tiny details is, when everyone is Glass Onion is smashing the glass, you can see Whiskey stomping on a can of pineapples.

#4 so that's still going around? I thought we cleared that up when the movie came out. Rian Johnson is a Beatles fan and he definitely knows that Paul played right-handed acoustic & electric guitars. I believe he'd re-string them. not sure why he didn't just buy left-handed guitars, his basses were made for lefties. it is possible that Miles actually has Paul's guitar in the movie, and Miles re-strung it for a right-handed player.

I guessed the killers in all 3 movies, just by watching the promo's for each movie, for the 3rd one i knew it was 2, because of their under / over acting in each movie.🇭🇲

How is "Knives out 3" not about DJT? Has anyone else commented on the resemblance between Wicks' devoted mindless followers and DJY's. I can't be the only one who noticed. There is one big difference, but I can't say what it is because no spoilers for those who haven't seen the movie yet.

Also, I love the names in wake up dead man. Jud, a play on Judas, is the one seen as a traitor by the flock. Samson, the man with long hair whose death was caused by his love for his partner. Martha, a woman who witnessed a resurrection by Jesus, in the movie it being “Wicks” knocking down the Lazarus door but in the Bible it being her brother Lazarus. And Wicks being a last name, depicts both of the pastors in the family being wicked men, as they made his pun not the first name, but the family name.

Also this movie is a complete opposite of the other 2. The protagonist is a man, who has a negative relationship with the victim where as the first two the main characters beside Benoit are women who are emotionally close to the victims (Marta and Harlan, Helen and Andi, and Jud and Wicks)

It also continues the trend of the murderers being in the mcu

just watched Wake Up Dead Man, and when Blanc pulls out an ipad, it really made me remember that he won that in Glass Onion. Hoping for the 4th-knife-out movie. They're brilliant.
