Everything he said has been my experience. Why have a salad? I’m already fat. I’ll have another burger, please. I’m thankful that I too was able to break this unhealthy lifestyle. Good for him.

Also your fat cells dont actually go away – they shrink – so when youre skinny – its hard to gain fat – but once you havee been fat – and your body duplicated those fat cells – then you have many fat cells that just shrunk – and its very easy to gain that fat back.

Everyone's fat journey is different, but damn was Tommy Buns description spot on. I was up at 305 and had gone through the exact "ah fuck it" phase he described. Got my act together like boiling a frog over 3 years. 15 minute walks became 30 minute workouts became about an hour a day at the gym and I now actually enjoy going. Down 70 lbs, lifting 40% more on average and feeling insanely better. My sleep apnea was described as a "fight for life" by a friend who shared a hotel room with me for several days back when I was a total hoss. Now I don't even snore anymore 🙂 To all the fellow biggins out there, its doable and you can still enjoy pretty much everything but the desire to eat an entire XL pizza and polish it off with half a cheescake will go away I promise 🙂

I fully understand resenting being fat. It's like a huge waste of time and potential. I also hate compliments about losing weight. It feels like people are saying, " hey look. You are not disgusting anymore"

I've found that if you're williing to put the work in every night you can eat yourself into getting so out of shape even the mirror delusion doesn't work.
