So, if people aren't allowed to fall in love with disabled people, then what existence is left for the disabled people? By that logic, we can't allow disabled people to experience love, or romance, or marriage… If you're less than perfect, then no happiness for you.

By the way, Mel isn't short for anything. That is his name. Mel Columcille Gerald Gibson. Mel comes from St Mel's Cathedral in Longford, Ireland (his mother's hometown), and the second name from an Irish saint.
