This Tool Song Is Blowing Me Away.
Many of you have requested I do a video on this band. It’s Tool. A band that seems to have quite a religious following. I have never really listened to them however a lot of my friends do, and they adore them. I’m going to react to one of their more popular songs “Schism” today.

I remember the first time I heard them as background music in a t-shirt shop. My ears twitched to attention. Dark but intriguing sound that grabs you.

The stop motion animation for the video was created by the guitar player of the band Adam Jones. He’s worked on lots of videos he even worked on some of the animation in Terminator 2

Me and the Mrs used to take it in turns to do the 4am feed when our daughter was a baby. This and other tool songs and videos were always on mtv 2 and or kerrang at this hour . Consequently now at 22 she’s a massive tool fan! And bassist!

Your commentary, mainly on the music video itself reminds me of the random ramblings Jello Biafra did for the commentary track on the Parabol/Parabola dvd, tool usually release a commentary version of the vids on their dvds and theyre typically hilarious “doing speed dating” quote took me out hahaha
