This video really shifts perspective! The way you broke down such a simple concept into something that can change how we approach the future is eye-opening. I’ve been exploring similar mindset shifts on my channel, and it's amazing how a small change in thinking can have such a big impact. Looking forward to seeing more content like this—great stuff!

After constantly falling into problems I just realise that accepting problems as part of life rather than worrying about them really helps you sometimes if just so above your league that you can’t do anything about it .

Stoicism is my favorite philosophy to apply to life. I tend to be somewhat of an anxious person but have tried to develop more optimism as I age. I came to discover stoicism by listening to every episode of a podcast that outlines the basics of philosophy through time, called Philosophize This. Excellent introduction into philosophy if you have an interest.

No amount of guilt can change the past, and no amount of worrying can change the future. Go easy on yourself, for the outcome of all affairs is determined by Allaah’s decree.

If something is meant to go elsewhere, it will never come your way, but if it is yours by destiny, from it you cannot flee.

You must convince yourself and truly believe that you will die one-day. The mind doesn’t grasp death. When you absolutely know this to be true you will truly understand that nothing matters , you learn to JUST LET GO 🙏

Never having done anything wrong in my 62 years on Earth, and having destroyed 20 years of my life, my landlord is trying to have me, "committed to prison!" … Doesn't get more f****d up than THAT!

07:06 … What is he doing? Looks indecent, whatever it is? 🤣

I'm confused! … What kind of person delivers "terrible news" via a text message???

Text Message, Received: 31 March 2015, at 06:30 pm, from Mother.

MESSAGE READS: "Your brother, David, is dead. He hung himself."

The above news was ACTUALLY delivered to me (slightly more sensitively) by my beloved late mother, on the TELEPHONE, on the date and time specified. Six years after losing her youngest, my mother suddenly passed away too. I was with her for the last 7 hours of her life. Due to the pandemic, I'd not seen her for a year. Twenty months after my mother, my father passed away too. The news was delivered on the phone.

R.I.P. David Mattinson (1965 – 2015) "Taken too soon, and reunited with his beloved mother, just 6 years later!" 😭

as one who is in a major depressive disorder, i don’t care so much any more. Knowing the exit makes things very easy whatever will happen. And when it happens, i will find a solution and live a little more. That was the case for the last 40 years. it is a perverted stoicism.
