Wish I kept my IBM 17" CRT monitor that had multiple inputs including RGB. It was designed for CAD work so was very crisp and sharp. It was amazing with my Amiga and gaming PC's.

It not running OLED… So no low latency like the CRT.

$800 for an IPS panel hahahahaha
@s.hatman
March 31, 2026 at 6:09 am
Cheap IPS panel = nope
I can imagine the input lag and a complete lack of any motion clarity, which is typical of LCD displays.
For that money, just get a half decent CRT monitor and TV.

That's sick though it has everything. We just need more size options at some point but this is def the future. Talk about removing a lot of hassle from managing older stuff.

this monitor was not, in fact, the future 😅

March 31, 2026 at 6:09 am
"This is the future.." he says as he shows a SQUARE monitor that look like something from 2000! 😂😂
So why the Hell would the "future" be actually be from the past? 🤔
Fcking rediculous! 😡😡😡

I thought it was a CRT at first and was REALLY excited. But a shitty IPS LCD from 15-20 years ago? Nope!

You need big knob screws for the pods to fasten them into the back of the monitor, those you use to tighten you modern GPU in the pci slot, it makes you life so much easier to not have to reace for a screwdriver….would you not agree??
@dobsonator
March 31, 2026 at 6:09 am
really needs a 0.03ms oled version

I would have expect for analogue crt come back, what about a less bulky shell like those panasonic crts mixed with those "ultra slim"/slim fit late models optimized to show properly the image, a 25 inch diagonal would be perfect or 17" for convenience. Now a portable 120Hz oled 16:9 or 3:2 … optimized for crt beamer simulator at lower price would be the alternative

Building in a monitor ensures obsolescence. LED monitors are a dime a dozen; seperate them.

It is almost identical to my first ever monitor that I thought was awesome looking. A silver one like this. 😵🤗🤠🙉🤷♂️👍👍🎶🎶🎶

A lot of promise especially at the originally quoted price but 2 years later with a ~£500 price before shipping and taxes it is a pipe dream for most.

stuff in an Oled and I'll pay the right asked price.

For those that are wondering, the guy didn't delivered the monitors to many backers and refuse to talk to them. @Nostalgianerd was spot on when he talked about the coffee not reimbursed.

can you use original console lightguns on this?
@Sweetrayz
March 31, 2026 at 6:09 am
Why not just use a retrotink with your own TV?

The problem I have with modern displays and retro games is the bilinear filtering they apply to resolutions below the monitors native res. How's the pixel clarity on this in person?

For those who believe your average viewer didn't watch the whole video: yes, it's simply an IPS panel dressed as a CRT monitor. And yes, that is a valid reason to own it. I make this statement because of the amount of people who were fooled into believing this was going to be an actual CRT is just astounding. "So ItS jUsT a IpS pAnEl ThAt LOOKS LiKe A cRt?!?!"
@icristian6707
March 31, 2026 at 6:09 am
I find it weird they are making a 19inch since there are not many retro consoles output in 5:4 ratio…4:3 was more common
