This is what I really think about the Foo Fighters – this is the song. What do you think of “All My Life”? Is it one of their best? If you want to support the charities associated with The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert you can do so here: https://www.foofighters.com/

I really dont care what you think about the Foo Fighters. They are the end of rock n roll..a band so stunningly boring, a disgrace to the very concept of rock n roll. And Grohl is basically Satan. Three dead co band mates. A vaccine fascist. there is a special place in hell for him and his rancid band….

When this whole album came out there was a lot of talk that rock was dead (more than usual) and I have always felt that One by One silenced these folks in a very meaningful way. All my life is also one of my favorite Foo Fighters songs.

Fun woodworking fact, mahogany or what most people in the US refere to as mahogany isnt actually that dense or hard when it comes to hardwoods and is super workable. Its very similar to waknut in terms of hardness, density and elasticity though mahogany is a tight straight closed grained wood while and walnut is a open grained straight to wavy wood. Nothing against Justin for saying that but in general as someone whos a woodworker and finish carpenter and someone who has built a few guitars I really believe that for eletrics atleast it makes much less of a difference than people like to think. I have just heard so many guitarists claim that this wood is better than that wood and describe why the wood is better and be completely off on the actual properties of the species of wood.

You spoke on another show about ‘that other guy who plays with them’ If you mean Chris Schiflett,, I’m a big fan of his. I didn’t know he’s punk influenced but that accounts for his perfect fast playing and style generally. Even Pat Smear gets more notice than Chris. In my non expert opinion but interest in guitarists generally, think Chris puts a whole load of content, style and lovely work into the Foos.

I hate to be that guy, right? Sure, All My Life is a great song but for me it's a song that I'm kind of numb to. I like the Foo Fighters' songs that you don't hear on the radio like Resolve, Stranger Things Have Happened, End Over End, Aurora and list goes on.

the fact that some people think that one by one is their worst album baffles me. THE FUCKING BANGERS on it, all my life, LOW, have it all, tired of you, FUCKING TIMES LIKE THESE. It was the first album of theirs I heard so I get that I’ve got a bias but after listening to some of their other ones, I have to say I will always come back to it

Walking out of the studio and watching the bands on Mtv seems to have worked out well for you and your brother as it seems to have kept pushing you toward excellence.

I saw the Foo Fighters live in Newcastle,UK when they toured for this album beck in 02 or 03 and they started the show with a giant banner covering the stage, with all the lyrics to "all my life" written on it, also emblazened with the FF red logo, and when they first came on, daves sillouhette was projected onto the banner from behind it as he strummed those "dududu-dududu-dududu-" and when the song kicked off they used that "kubuki drop" to reveal the stage. really memorable moment for me.
