Get the videos 2 years old, but holy moly are you shameless shill. The new Delta Force doesn't have a goddamn thing to do with how the old games played at all, and you knew that.

Guess that tencent money talks and integrity walks. Genuinely disappointing to see.

df1 and df2 were amazing back then. getting home from school, booting up the family computer and hopping on a teamspeak or ventrilo server chatting and gaming with friends around the world. times were good.

A good friend of mine got me into making single player and co-op maps for Delta Force black hawk down and team sabre even some joint operations maps. I have them all on PC but have not been able to get them to function properly for years. I have been unable to spend much time trying but I hope soon it's still possible to get it working…. I used to spend hours and hours vibing to music at unreasonable volumes making single player, co-op and multiplayer maps… My friends name was Bentboybbz. He was fairly popular back then. Towards the end we were having like 75 player multiplayer games that had people running around large maps with everything from shotguns and mp5s as medics to m60-m240-m249s as gunners and m21-barrets as snipers and much more 😂 it was absolute chaos in the best ways, car 15s with m203 grenade launchers, at 4 rockets, claymores, grenades flash bangs satchel charges g36 and it was much more fun than I have in any newer titles unfortunately. 😢 😊

The new online delta force is an embarrassment, to me the true successor to delta force 1 is actually metal gear solid v phantom pain (and ground zeroes), at least some of the missions in there that require you to cover a lot of ground to get to your objectives

I went almost directly from half-life, to the first xbox Crystal edition and Ghost Recon, it was all green 😅. But I loved it. Still find the feeling whenever a game gives me the scenario with weather, deep into the bush.

I played the first Delta Force 3-4 years ago, that was a hard game (also hard to get working properly on my Windows 10 PC). #2, Land Warrior and Task Force Dagger are still on my Steam backlogs.

    12:47 "Deuz Ex"? 😀

wish they'd put the DF2, Land Warrior & BHD servers up, with all the Novaworld servers too. Think if they ever remade DF2 that they'll mess it up by changing everything. They just need to clone it in Unreal

"Land Warrior" was and is also the name of a concept used by the US Army, in which soldiers got some pretty sophisticated new tech and gear to use in combat to enhance tactical awareness and protection.

Land Warrior refers to the weapons program running at the time to (among other things) develop the Objective Individual Combat Weapon (OICW), which is a heavily modified G-36 attached to a semi-automatic 25mm grenade launcher with programmable airburst grenades and a computerized optic, which could feed the video from the scope to an eyepiece, allowing the user to shoot around corners or over cover, to limit exposing themselves. The grenade launcher later became the XM-25 and saw limited use before being cancelled. While the OICW is one of the available weapons in the game, the only feature it retained was the semi-automatic magazine-fed grenade launcher, but it was neither airburst, nor programmable. The only game to properly implement the OICW grenade launcher that I know of was Soldier of Fortune 2, and Ghost Recon 2 features the ability to shoot around corners with it.
