When 15-year-old Amber Yang first heard about space trash it gave her nightmares. How could such an imminent threat to space exploration be left on the back burner?
After seeing videos with astronaut Scott Kelly, she decided to take matters into her own hands. Within a few years she consumed all the media she could on space debris, taught herself to code, and learned the ins and outs of astrophysics.
By 18 she had developed an AI-based space debris tracking program that she claims is one of the most accurate in the world.

3:45 yeah, that sounds like a legitimate worry and huge obstacle for the future. Luckily theres lots of intelligent people like her who work on creating solutions for these problems.
If youāve ever seen Wall-E the scene where they leave Earth to go to the mothership reminds where the planet is full of trash and the atmosphere is like a space landfill reminds me of what she talks about.
This is why were luckily addressing the issue

She is smart, that's good, but artificial intilligence is not an intelligence, but a complex script, which does not take into account many physicall and other things. Yes, it could help, like a computer, but we can't rely on it "completely". At the moment the AI is just a game of testing, my opinion.

Simply do not fly there. It is causing more troubles than benefits. Space debris, pollution of upper layers of atmosphere, ozone hole, and there will be worse. How you want to clean all of this? People are not meant to fly so high. We have succeeded once when we have left dying Mars to settle here, but now we have no other place to go. Sit on Earth and develop spirituality instead, which will help us deal with deep trauma after facing with global disasters in ancient times.
