Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor once came this close to fronting a legendary thrash metal band, recording a full album with them, and changing metal history forever. Corey Taylor is one of my favorite metal singers. Worship Music is one of my favorite metal albums. What a strange thing to think that these two favorites were almost one and the same. I had never known this story. Thanks for bringing it to us.

Anthrax in the big 4 never made any sense to me, or a lot of people. It made sense to the labels and promoters though. Testament was always #4 and kicked the other 3 all over the 90's even though that was my favorite Anthrax era. I remember the Taylor thing during the Myspace days in the metal forum. Don't think it would have been that great and that was after Def Jam had bought Roadrunner and turned it into a Meme, so what they did seemed pretty on par and expected really. All that said, Volume 8 is still one of my favorite albums of all time.

Corey is just so ridiculously overrated, but I'm not much impressed by most bands with mainstream commercial success. Just the same, I'll praise groups like Avatar, Illdisposed and plenty of others, so I just think the American market has produced a lot of mediocre celebrity bands.
Their fame grandly outweighs their talent, but corporations are in the business of making money and marketing brings in sales. If you're good enough to be famous and get rich, they're going to inflate that as much as possible and that's what the American and Canadian market has done.
I also always keep in mind, Slipknot to those fans is who Metallica and AC/DC were to me. That sort of notoriety gives you fans that will literally die for you.

Anthrax? That one-time "Big 4" group? Thank God Corey couldn't risk leaving
the best Rock band in the world (at the time and in Clown's opinion") Pantera was a Groove Metal band I guess, but should've been #2 or #3 of the Big 4 if record sales are the benchmark.

I think I was a subscriber when you had less than 100k. I just want to let you know that you do an amazing job on these. I'm relatively well versed and you present things that I didn't know or even think about. You have been super consistent with dropping videos and I am legit excited when I see a new one on any day.
