The ironic thing is Watcher used to be the one and only thing I used YouTube for, like genuinely. Puppet History in particular really helped me through a terrible bout of depression. Then this happened and Jaime’s video made me realize that I have fully scrubbed these guys from my mind. Completely utterly totally forgot all about them. 💀

Hands down prefer less flash more personality and actual content. IDGAF about resolution or edits on videos I 90% of the time I only listen to while working NOT WATCH. Love and blessings to ya Mrs French

By relavent to advertisers, they mean "we're old and our audience is only shrinking so we're making less and less advertiser money. So we're passing the costs onto you-our only fans left."

I despise Steven Yeon. Every video he's in makes me immediately turn it off, and his attitude/"rivalry" with Ricky makes even the Too Many Spirits show a chore.

They should have left him at Buzzfeed draining the big corporate wallet with his bs Worth It shows.

what Dropout did right that Watcher did wrong:
    1. Launched the platform when it was actually finished and worth the subscription fee.
    2. Kept certain videos and clips of their most popular show free on youtube, especially shorts (thats what got me to subscribe)
    3. Kept introducing new shows with new faces and new ideas
    4. production value only went up when viewership went up to actually pay for it
    5. Had Brennan Lee Mulligan on the channel

When they did BuzzFeed unsolved…. I remember the tall blonde skinny dude making a complete mockery of all these places that had hauntings…. He made fun of curses……… looks like those curses came into fruition!

My favorite dish is people who have enough money, but want more money, and lose the original money chasing the new money.

It’s a nice compact little morality play.

Just crazy… I can't imagine the numbers they were running to think that was a good move. The cost of having to host all of the data for the videos, then to serve it to users, is just crazy. When you dropped they had a Patreon… Just crazy! Why even bother! Just push Patreon harder, add more benefits there. Who in their right mind thought it was a good idea to completely put up a pay wall for the content, and thought they would get a good turnover is just insane 😹🤦‍♀️

THANK YOU for saying $6 a month is enough to overdraw someone’s bank account. I constantly have people trying to convince me to sign up for subscriptions because it’s “only $10 a month” or whatever. Dude. I’m not spending my last few dollars on a stupid subscription every month!

It is absolutely INSANE & REETARDED to be so GREEDY that 1200 members on PATREON plus whatever they get for their YT revenue share and memberships? WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUUUUU@%$! ?

@WATCHER deserves every ounce of Karma for this Darwin Award winning decision for their Brand. You don't do this. This is insane. I wish them the worst and cannot wait for them all to end up poor and broke, snd follow the oath of Dirk Diggler 1 for 1, for the rest of their careers –

Get in the truck, its $5 a pop , raw dog is $6

Making your entire content on a paid platform is really the worst thing ive heard a channel do so far i dont know if you ever heard of EDP WATCH but even they do the entire video of something on a paid platform but its still available to watch on YouTube just a shorter version and they purely do it bc youtube will monetise them other wise not only is it that but that they made a decision to step off an app that right now might be one of the most used platforms id say around streaming services as in videos not movies or streams but the stuff that gets the most is a stream or videos or long videos its gonna fall of its not gone age well especailly bc id say the most attention is on social media apps now hollywood is literally falling silently bc streamers such as kai cenat or speed or any you name that are relevant today take the most attention in kids teens even adults its like what dhar man did he made his own streaming platform not sure if it was paid access or whatever but id say it wasnt the best success especailly since he started to get alot less voices on his name

I am pissed on YT too. So I am paying 8euro a month, so I do not see advertising and yet, still either I need to see them, or I need to postpone videos… unless the advertise is on the end of the video, but this does just few people on YT.

I was absolutely obsessed with Buzzfeed Unsolved. They should get away from the other people. Shane and Ryan were funny and actually cared back then. Their old videos were so much fun! So sad what money does to people

People are being raised by youtube and they think people are gullible enough to fall for their shit. They want to get money from people, who are often struggling on the breadline, rather than big business. They are greedy, capitalist pricks. End of. Their content isn't better, it's more flashy but that doesn't make it good content, it makes it superficial.

Well, well, well!! The guys uploaded their latest three days ago (July 25th, 2025). Curious. Perhaps it didn't go over very well…
    Jamie, an update/ thoughts? 🤷🤣

Their newer ghost hunting videos were really ordinary and same-y in my opinion. I could barely tell them apart. Also Ryan has become jaded and isn't scared anymore so there that bit of the entertainment gone
