dvds are awesome and we should bring them back, there are too many streaming services these days like netflix and hulu and amazon prime but dvds will always be there for you. theyll never leave you. you can play dvds and bluerays in your ps2. did you know that? dvds are so cool. nice.

I only have 3 dvds (that I bought)all my dvds from my childhood were gotten rid of by my parents. I only own now the dvds of Higurashi (the og because Hulu got rid of it and you can't watch it anywhere except on sketchy websites), A place farther than the universe, and the first season of Attack on Titan. I love them and it reminds me when I watch them to watching dvds with my sister when we were young

You forgot to mention that Blu-rays aren’t really better either, except maybe for the media quality. The menus are super dull and boring, like they just stopped trying. DVDs were way more fun and creative.

Yes I buy my favourite shows in case they get taken off streaming services. I have; The Office (US and UK), Peaky Blinders, Parks and Rec, Supernatural, Desperate Housewives, Hannah Montana, and Brooklyn 99. They can never take those away from me.

Speaking as an old person I don't mind watching DVDs if they're playing on a laptop or something closeup, but for giant TVs on the wall you're probably going to want Bluray

Streaming is the worst way to watch movies, AND listen to music, for many reasons. Physical media all the way for me, whether it's vinyl, CD, 4K Blu-ray or Laserdisc, (not to mention the odd cassette, DVD Audio, Blu-Ray audio, SACD….)!

I love dvds because often the streaming services on my tv lag when I try to move through the shows and movies, and sometimes there is annoying buffering and audio syncing issues. At least putting a dvd into my ps5 and starting the movie doesn’t take much effort, and I always have it.

My wife and I have what we have termed movie search Saturdays where we go to second hand stores and look for DVDs to buy and watch on our movie nights on those same saturdays

I think your Shrek 2 games were glitching because you were using all that on PC, in my end (VLC) this thing always happen so I have to switch over to one of my few dvd players for it to properly work

I still buy DVDs for a number of reasons, not least censorship. Films, especially older films, run the risk of being censored for so-called outdated themes. Some of them already have been censored on streaming services. Owning the physical copy ensures that no corporate bigwig can come along and edit out scenes in your favourite films.

Im a HUGE advocate for physical media, and i understand that lots of old dvds have great special features and even interactive games. But guys please buy more 4Ks or at least blu rays so we can keep physical media alive properly. Dvds are not gonna look good on your modern tv and unless you really wanna live off nostalgia and buy a crtv or something i dont get why you wouldnt buy at least a blu ray. Blu rays are so cheap these days, you can find hundreds of movies for around 10 bucks or even cheaper at thrift stores. Ps most of toyr game consoles can play 4k and blu ray. Oh an lots of 4k releases have great special feautres

I'm so glad Blu Ray and DVD are making a comeback. Man, fuck Netflix and Disney+ and whatever fucking service is out there. When I watch Ultraman, I use my big ass Blu Ray and DVD collection of the series. Are they amazing, fuck no some of the subs are wack, but there affordable and they look better than the streaming alternative where I have to watch the same 5 car and political ads and have a lower bitrate video at the same time. We need DVD and Blu Ray to be the new Tik Tok trend
